Who says a thistle can not be lovely in its own right? It protects itself plus is pleasing to the eye. I liked this picture! I am a sucker for flowers of most any type.

Glad you liked it. And yes they can protect themselves! This one was special because the, uh, pink things were clustered in the center. Guess that it was a newbee.
