It had been years since I had come up the Rio Grande this far. I guess its real name is Rio Bravo del Norte. Creede has a marvelous topography which might have lent itself to some boondocking. Alas this is CenturyTel country and my Verizon wireless internet wouldn't work.
But I had to walk through town. It surprised me to hear a woman call from her car, "Are you RV boondocker?" She was a reader of this blog and recognized my dogs. It was weird to think of an anonymous reader. I only think of myself writing for a half dozen commenters.
I can see why people from the hot lands come here to vacation. But I like places less touristy. On the way to Lake City, another CenturyTel enclave, I saw some horses along the Rio Bravo. It was great country and they perfected it. It's so nice to have my laptop and photos working together again.
